OUR STORY

At Visalore whippets, we are a small, intentional, and international family rooted in a deep love for the breed and passion for living life outdoors.  With triple citizenship spanning across continents, our family and our dogs are truly global companions - traveling with us and living as full members of our family. Our foundation bitch, Castelbudria Creation Exclusive, was imported from the esteemed Castelbudria kennel in Zaragoza, Spain. She is not only the cornerstone of our breeding program, but also serves as a trained service dog and beloved partner in our daily life.  We are currently based out of Flagstaff, Arizona where we enjoy the outdoors at 7,000 ft of elevation.

We are dedicated to breeding only when we are ready to produce our next generation of performance and show prospects. As such, litters will be few and far between - always with a focus on health, temperament, and conformation. All of the breeding stock in our program undergoes full health testing as outlined by OFA breed-specific recommendations and have CHIC numbers. We believe in transparency, and therefore all health exam results are up-to-date and publicly accessible.  All puppies are raised with the Puppy Culture protocol and Early Neurological Stimulation.

Our whippets share our home and our adventures. With children in the household and a lifestyle that includes canyoneering, hiking, paddle boarding, backpacking, bikejoring, canicross, lure coursing, FCAT, rally obedience, conformation, and travel - our dogs are not only versatile athletes but also deeply loved companions and integral parts of our family. Whether on the trail, curled up on the couch, or at an airport terminal, they are always by our side.
